Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned - 2018
Recipe courtesy of Kathryn Nohl Bergen

INGREDIENTS
  • Brandy - 2 shots
  • Angostura bitters (2-3 dashes)
  • 1 teaspoon maraschino cherry juice
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Orange slices
  • Cherry 7-up

PREPARATION
Add brandy, bitters, cherry juice and Cherry 7-up into an old fashioned glass. Stir well and garnish with maraschino cherries and oranges.

Note: Directions on the internet vary on this one. One recipe says to add brandy, bitters and cherry juice into a mason jar, shake well, pour into an old fashioned glass, top with mixer and garnish with cherries and oranges. Another says to add everything but the mixer into a glass, muddle well, add ice and top with mixer. You have the ingredients, you know what to do!

A Nohl family standard, this Wisconsin libation was introduced to the Nebraska people at Matt and Jill's wedding rehearsal dinner. Oh sure, you betcha!
