Whiskey Sour II - 2023

INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
Add whiskey, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white (if using) to a cocktail shaker. Shake without ice for 5-10 seconds to emulsify egg white. Add ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain with a Hawthorne strainer into a rocks glass with fresh ice or a coupe glass (no ice). Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry.
To turn this into a New York Sour, float 1 ounce of red wine on top. Pour it over a spoon to diffuse it so it will float on top.
To get the pretty swirl, drop some bitters or cherry syrup in a circle on top then drag a small straw through it. Fancy!
