Whiskey Sour - 2012
Recipe courtesy of Ron Wozny

Picture
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 ounces whiskey
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce sugar
  • 2 ounces water
  • Crushed ice
  • Maraschino cherry and orange or lemon slice for garnish

PREPARATION
Use a shot glass to measure all ingredients, including sugar. In a shaker, combine lemon juice and sugar. Stir to dissolve. Add water to dilute. Add crushed ice and whiskey and shake vigorously (the shaker, not yourself). Strain into a large old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Stir, garnish, and serve. Repeat as necessary.

Use whiskey, bourbon, Scotch, Canadian whiskey, or Irish whiskey...
I prefer Maker's Mark or Jack Daniel's.

Note: All measurements are in fluid ounces using a shot glass.
