Sweet Potato Pie – 1998

INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
BOIL potatoes, cool, peel and mash.
MIX potatoes and sugar well. Add remaining ingredients and beat. Pour into a 9" pie shell.
BAKE at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 30-45 minutes, until browned.
- 1 cup mashed fresh sweet potatoes
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ½ cup milk (evaporated or whole)
- 1 9 inch pie crust
