Spaghetti Sauce VIII - Grandma's Original Polish Spaghetti Sauce – 2020
Recipe courtesy of Emma Wozny
INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
Chop onion and garlic. Add to meat and brown meat lightly in a large pan. Salt to taste. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, water and sugar. Simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours. Add water as needed.
Yields enough for 1 lb. package of spaghetti.
Note from Ron: A staple of Grandma Emma Wozny's was her spaghetti, which affectionately came to be known as "Polish Spaghetti." I recently found this recipe among some other older recipes, and I believe this is the original Polish Spaghetti Sauce recipe from Grandma! It looks very soupy when you first make it, but it will cook down to a great consistency!
