Pizza Sauce - 2012

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 (28-ounce) can tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

PREPARATION
Over medium heat, heat oil in a saucepan until hot. Add all ingredients, cover and bring to a boil. Uncover, lower heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.

Adjust seasonings according to your individual taste. I prefer a little sweeter sauce, so I use a little extra sugar.
