Lime Pickles - 1998

INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
Combine cucumber slices, lime, and water, and let stand all night. Drain, rinse and let stand in clear water for 3 hours. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumbers. Let stand overnight. Boil 35 minutes and seal in sterilized jars.
- 7 pounds cucumbers -- 1/2 slices
- 2 cups pickling lime
- 2 gallons water
- 2 quarts vinegar
- 9 cups sugar
- green food coloring
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves
- 2 teaspoons mix spices
- 3 tablespoons salt
