Leo's Salad Dressing - 2023
Recipe courtesy of Karen Tillman
INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
Mix well and add anything you like to make it your own. I like to add Parmesan cheese sometimes.
A delicious salad dressing shared by Ron and Joan's neighbor, Karen Tillman. She served it tossed with spinach leaves and vegetables and it was amazing! Karen said her dad used to make this all the time when she was growing up and she still makes it frequently today. She said he also used it as a marinade for chicken and salmon. Fun fact, Karen's dad, Leo Janos, was an author and speechwriter for Lyndon B. Johnson!
- 3-4 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp of Dijon mustard (any mustard other than yellow)
- 1 tsp mayo
- A dash/splash of balsamic vinegar or apple cider vinegar depending upon preference.
- 1-2 cloves minced garlic
- A dash/splash of Worcestershire sauce.
- Several drizzles of maple syrup or honey as needed
- Salt and pepper to taste.
