Buttermilk Brownies - 1998

INGREDIENTS

FROSTING
PREPARATIONFor brownies, bring water, margarine and vegetable oil to a boil. Add sugar, flour, cocoa, and buttermilk. Cool a bit and add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes in a jelly roll pan.
For frosting, bring margarine, cocoa and buttermilk to a boil. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Frost brownies while still warm.

- ½ cup margarine
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
