Bread and Butter Pickles - 1998

INGREDIENTS
PREPARATION
Salt the cucumbers and onion and let stand 1 hour. Drain. Place vinegar, sugar, celery seed, turmeric in saucepan, add cucumbers and onions. Bring to boiling point and cook for 20 minutes and can hot.
- 8 cups cucumber -- sliced
- 2 cups onion -- sliced
- 2 cups vinegar
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons celery seed
- 2 teaspoons turmeric
- 3 inch cinnamon stick
