Bacchus Cole Slaw - 2005

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 large cabbage -- shredded
  • 1 large onion -- cut in rings
  • 1 cup  sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vinegar - cider or white
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • ½ cup oil

​PREPARATION
In a large bowl, add first three ingredients in layers. Add remaining ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour mixture over slaw. Cover and chill for 24 hours.

This is Bacchus' version of a Carolina slaw. Tangy and delish!

Optional ingredients: 
2 grated carrots
1 finely chopped medium bell pepper. ​
