5 Hour Stew - 2005

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pounds  round steak -- cubed
  • 6 carrot -- sliced
  • 6 potatoes -- cubed
  • 6 celery stalks -- sliced
  • 1 small  onion -- cut into rings
  • 18 ounces  V-8® vegetable juice
  • ½ cup  red wine
  • 1 tablespoon  sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon  rosemary
  • ¼ teaspoon  oregano
  • ½ teaspoon  celery seeds
  • Salt and Pepper -- to taste

PREPARATION
Arrange first 5 ingredients in layers in a roaster or crock-pot. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl, and pour over meat and vegetables. Cover and cook for 5 hours at 250.
